- 2 cups cooked Great Northern Beans
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup canned tomatoes, chopped
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 1 cup chopped celery
- ½ teaspoon thyme or marjoram
- 4 tablespoons minced onion or chopped fresh onion to taste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons vegetable seasoning
Combine all ingredients. Simmer 1½ hours until beans are tender. Yields approximately 8 cups.
