Northern Bean Soup

Northern Bean Soup
  • 2 cups cooked Great Northern Beans
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup canned tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large carrot, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • ½ teaspoon thyme or marjoram
  • 4 tablespoons minced onion or chopped fresh onion to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable seasoning

Combine all ingredients. Simmer 1½ hours until beans are tender. Yields approximately 8 cups.
